Bookkeeper

Role summary

We're looking for a fabulous bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role offers plenty of flexibility with 2 - 3 days a week working for a range of our wonderful clients. This would be ideal for a return to work parent with a background in finance.

The role encompasses working 1 day per week (4-5 hours) onsite at a client's premises and the remainder of the days working remotely covering the following:

- recording all transactions for transfer to the accountant for the preparation of the quarterly BAS/IAS and annual financial accounts. This would include:
- making sure that all receipts and expenses are accounted for against the appropriate accounts and projects
- keeping a clear eye on the bank accounts and ensuring that the transactions align with actual expenditure
- assisting in ensuring that costs are appropriately allocated to projects so that management have a clear idea of actual expenses incurred
- working with the broader team on the preparation of accounts and invoices for clients.
- working with the clients’ accounting teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing transactions.
- assisting in preparing financial reports including annual budgets, monthly financials and cashflow reports
- ensuring that end-to-end payroll is accurately processed, including liaising with clients on accurate recording of leave and other entitlements
- maintaining appropriate filing and records in compliance with legal requirements
